Tips for Taking a Maths Test
  1. Look through the entire test script to better understand how long the entire examination is going to be. Identify the problems which you know how to do and the more challenging ones.
  2. Attempt the questions that are more familiar and easier before heading on to the more difficult ones. Do not waste your time on the ones you have little knowledge about.
  3. Time is an important factor. Try to do as much as possible within the specified time, whilst writing legibly.
  4. Show all workings. This allows the examiner to understand the reason behind how you got to that particular answer.
  5. Never waste your time erasing. Just cancel out the portion in one single stroke.
  6. Read the questions carefully and understand what the question asks of you.
  7. If you finish early, check your answers.
